Summary:
Powder Mixer / Press Operator collects, refines, mixes and processes carbide powder.
Presses the powder into a hardened form using a hydraulic press.
Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.
Essential Functions:
Sorting and grouping cans by grade Screen powder assuring uniformity Add Cobalt and virgin material to achieve required grade Load and unload attritors/dryers Fill, tie, and load carbide filled molds into hydraulic press Unload, scribe, and distribute billets to Shape Room Comply with company safety policies and procedures Adhere to all quality policies/procedures and report issues which may result in poor quality to Production Supervisor Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility Wear assigned PPE to safely perform tasks Wear half face piece reusable respirator throughout shift (face must be clean shaved) Wear steel-toed boots for the duration of shift Use of overhead crane (training provided) Maintain a positive and professional attitude Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment Attend company sponsored training when necessary Report to work daily and on time unless otherwise excused Performs other duties as assigned or needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly Ability to read and write Attention to detail Ability to receive and carry out verbal and written instructions given by management Job Type:
